Big Boss Bossa Nova This Contemporay Latin/ funk group has released two critically acclaimed CD's. BIG BOSS BOSSA NOVA (CMG Records 2004) BIG BOSS BOSSA NOVA2.0 (CMG Records 2004) Big Boss Bossa Nova started in 2002 as a weekly workshop in the now defunct Pantanal Restaurant in Portchester NY. The repertoire contains traditional latin jazz repertiore as well as jazz standards, pop songs and original compositions all infused with Doug Munro's "twisted" take on the bossa nova style. Doug has recruited some of New Yorks finest musicians to help him sculpt the sound of the group. The current touring group conisits of bassist Michael Goetz and drummer Jay "J Dog" Devlin.
