BIG BOSS BOSSA NOVA (CMG Records 2004)
Big Boss Bossa Nova started in 2002 as a weekly workshop in the now defunct Pantanal Restaurant in Portchester NY. The repertoire contains traditional latin jazz repertiore as well as jazz standards, pop songs and original compositions all infused with Doug Munro's "twisted" take on the bossa nova style. Doug has recruited some of New Yorks finest musicians to help him sculpt the sound of the group. The extended familly of musicians involved with this on-going project are Harvie S, Javon Jackson, Ray Vega, Richie Morales, Michael Goetz, Jay "J Dog" Devlin and Jason Anderson.
